Eqi Glacier is the only glacier in the Ilulissat area where we often experience the glacier calving. By adding 2 nights in Camp Eqi you will experience the unique sight of a glacier giving birth to new icebergs - just outside your window! During your stay in the camp it is be possible to go hiking in the area or simply just enjoy the view.

Eqi Glacier is the only glacier in the Ilulissat area where we often experience the glacier calving. By adding 2 nights in Camp Eqi you will experience the unique sight of a glacier giving birth to new icebergs - just outside your window! 

Day 1

Transfer to the pier and by boat to Camp Eqi. 

Upon arrival to the camp you will be allocated your hut by the local guide. Afternoon free at leisure - you may wish to go on a short walk to the French polar explorer Paul-Èmile Victor’s  hut. You can also experience the beauty of the Arctic nature on your way to the lake - the only water source in Camp Eqi. 

Duration approx. 1-1,5 hours (self-guided)

Included meals: Breakfast and full board at Camp Eqi
Accommodation: Camp Eqi in comfort/standard hut

Day 2

At Camp Eqi. There are several excellent hiking options in the area; your local guide can advice you according to your abilities

Accommodation: Camp Eqi in comfort/standard hut

Day 3

Morning at leisure at Camp Eqi. After lunch by boat back to Ilulissat. Transfer from harbour to your hotel for check-in.

Included meals: Breakfast and lunch at Camp Eqi

You can easily combine this itinerary with one of our Ilulissat based tours.
