Puisi means “seal” in Greenland. The interior design follows the Nordic minimalistic style to present a simple yet enjoyable feeling. You can find original works of Buuti Pedersen, a Greenlandic artistic, in the rooms.
A Puisi room is perfect for one or two adults. It can be booked for either single or double accommodation. An extra cot for a child under 3 years old is provided free of charge.
Puisi rooms are not suitable for an extra third adult bed. If you are travelling as a family of 3 or 4, we suggest you book Kajak Rooms. They are 2 Puisi rooms which connect through a door, or other room types.

Kajak rooms offer you a pleasant stay in a spacious room with extra facilities. You can watch icebergs floating by in the fjord from your window.
Kajak rooms can be booked for single or double occupancy. They are equipped with either a king-sized double bed or two single beds. This room type is suitable for 2 adults. An extra cot is provided for a child under 3 years old free of charge.
If needed, you can add on one extra bed at a cost of DKK 400 per night for a child from 3 years old to 11 years old, or DKK 500 per night for one person 12 years or older.
There are 2 Kajak rooms which are suitable for 4 adults, but they are always in high demand.
With the extra facilities, you can have a pleasant and relaxing stay. The mini-bar and café seating will add even more flavour to your arctic adventure. You can also find excellent paintings created by a Greenlandic artist Miki Jakobsen.
Umiaq Room
Umiaq rooms are decorated to a high, international standard. It is more spacious than the Puisi and Kajak rooms to offer you an even more comfortable stay. The elegant Nordic style and upgraded facilities
guarantee you a delightful stay including views of the sea and icebergs from your window.

Umiaq rooms are the newest type of rooms in Hotel Arctic. They can be booked for either single or double occupancy. They feature a king-sized double bed or two single beds and are suitable for 2 adults. An extra cot is provided for a child under 3 years old free of charge. Umiaq rooms are not suitable for a 3rd adult bed.
The bathroom in an Umiaq room is elegant and includes a separate shower and bidet as added extras.
The rooms are decorated by artwork created by Greenlandic artists Miki Jakobsen and Arne Reimer.
Hotel Kangerlussuaq, Kangerlussuaq
Hotel Kangerlussuaq is a 3-star hotel located in Kangerlussuaq Airport. Sitting at the edge of Kangerlussuaq Fjord (also known as Søndre Strømfjord), Kangerlussuaq Airport is the gateway to Greenland and the first stop of many travellers coming to Greenland.
The area surrounding Kangerlussuaq Airport features all the essential facilities a traveller needs – travel agency, small shops, grocery stores and a variety of accommodation – Hotel Kangerlussuaq is one Arctic Adventure recommends.
Staying at Hotel Kangerlussuaq gives you easy access to the fjord and backcountry, so you can enjoy different activities either on your own or with a local guide. Transportation by 4×4 coach or car is usually included in the tours.
Hotel Kangerlussuaq is newly decorated by the end of 2019. In 2020, all the rooms, hallways and facilities have a brand new appearance to welcome the new season.
