Touch inland Ice cap yourself through a relaxing boat excursion
If you plan to explore South Greenland, the glacier is a natural site that you cannot miss! Twin Glacier is located at the end of the fjord of South Greenland and produces tons of icebergs steadily throughout the year.
This excursion will take you to the Twin Glacier by boat and offer you a chance to touch the inland Icecap! Even though there is no Arctic Adventure guide in this excursion, you can still enjoy a lot of fun.
Before the starting time of this excursion, please head to the departure location by yourself. Search Kongebroen, Qaqortoq on google and you can find where the boat usually docks.
Once everyone is ready, we will sail through Ikerssuaq Fjord, pass some gigantic icebergs and head to the Twin Glacier.
Around the Twin Glacier, there is a great spot that you can go ashore, step on the land and touch the inland ice cap! We will have around 1-hour free time to walk around, explore this spot and take some wonderful pictures.
On the way back, we will pass by another fjord with bird’s cliff and a fascinating big waterfall.
This excursion lasts around 4 hours and a half with approximately 1 hour on land near the glacier. During this excursion, we can feel the refreshing sea breeze, hear the calving sound of the icebergs and touch the inland ice cap! Having a closer interaction with icebergs and glacier is a must-do experience in Greenland!
