Friday departure from Copenhagen

From June to September, the weather in Greenland is quite pleasant. With a long daylight time, Greenland welcomes its beautiful summer season. Unspoiled by mass tourism, this biggest island in the world enjoys its phenomenal nature and well-preserved culture.

Flying with Air Greenland from Copenhagen, we will stop first at Kangerlussuaq and then head to Ilulissat on a smaller domestic flight. Kangerlussuaq is one of the few settlements in Greenland that has direct access to inland ice cap. And Ilulissat is famous for its gigantic icebergs and amazing ice fjords. Travelling to both destinations in one trip is time-saving and full of adventures!

You can add more colours to your basic itinerary by selecting optional activities – boat tours, hiking excursion, local experiences and more. Scroll down to Day to Day plan to read more.

Hotels and flight tickets are included in the price. Book now before all the seats are gone!

If you want to add an extra night in Copenhagen before and/or after your journey at Clarion Hotel, feel free to contact aatour@arctic-adventure.dk for a comfortable upgrade!

The Russell Glacier is a 60-meter-tall ice wall which bears some similarities to the Wall in Game of Thrones. We will take you there in a 4WD vehicle, and you can stand at the foot of the glacier to experience the shocking height and mesmerizing view of this natural masterpiece. On the way, you may spot wildlife wandering in the distance, for example, reindeer and musk oxen. The Russell Glacier tour takes approximately 4 hours.

Continue the hiking, we will start hiking on the rocky roads and experience the UNESCO-honoured Ice Fjord from different angles. The view changes as you hike further. Remember to have comfortable shoes and bring your camera for nice pictures! This excursion includes pick-up and transfer. Usually, it lasts around 3 hours.

If you think 3-hour is too short to enjoy the fun of hiking in the Arctic, you can opt to our 7-hour long excursion “Hike on the Cecily Trail”.
