Embrace the sea, fjord view and various sea life
The fjord of Nuuk is the second largest fjord in the world. Sailing away from the Greenlandic capital, this Fjord Safari by boat offers you a chance to view Nuuk from a different angle. You may also spot whales, seals, and some sea birds on the way if you are lucky!
We depart from The Tide Water Steps by the Atlantic Harbour. Don’t worry about the transportation as our guide will take you to the departure point and return after the cruise. During the trip you will be able to appreciate the colourful houses lining up along the coastline. We will sail to a fascinating waterfall which tumbles into the sea from the Sermitsiaq Glacier and our experienced captain and tour guide will keep an eye on the sea searching for whales, seals, and sea birds. Everyone on board is encouraged to help spotting these cute creatures and hopefully get some great pictures.
Cruising leisurely whilst icebergs float by, and hoping for a lucky viewing of whales, the Fjord Safari will broaden your senses and enjoyment of the Arctic capital. We recommend you wear warm clothes, shoes with profiled soles, hats, mittens and some hot drinks. We look forward to welcoming you on board!
