The flight from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq takes around 4 hours and 30 minutes. When you arrive at Kangerlussuaq, please wait at the airport for your next connecting flight to Ilulissat. It is only 50 minutes flight between Kangerlussuaq and Ilulissat. On the small domestic flight, you can able to observe the vast ice sheet if the weather allows.

After a smooth check-in at Hotel Arctic with our guide, you can learn the details of this itinerary and dos and don’ts in Greenland at the warm Welcome Meeting.

After the city tour, you can join our optional activity Visit the Greenlandic Dogs. Ilulissat has separate sledge dog’s areas. In winter, the sledge dogs are still loyal and trustable working fellows of the locals. In this excursion, we can visit a local hunter’s sledge dogs. The owner will demonstrate the equipment and tell stories about the life of a sledge dog. You have the chance to see, feel and hear the howling of sledge dogs.

Around dinnertime, you can enjoy a 2-course dinner at Hotel Arctic.

Day 2 Hiking around Sermermiut, Kayak in the morning and Sunset Cruise

Ilulissat is the wonderland of various outdoor activities. Today, you can continue exploring corners of Ilulissat on your own or join the well-selected optional activities.

You may experience kayaking before, but it is not the same as the one in Greenland! Kayak in the Morning enables you kayaking with experienced guides in the ocean with the icebergs near you!
