Experience local life + amazing whale watching experience
Disko Bay is the name of the water area around Ilulissat. In the summertime, humpback whales come to the Disko Bay to hunt herring-like fish. Because of this, this area is a popular destination for whale watching. The gigantic and numerous icebergs also add more beauty and fun to this excursion.
Arctic Adventure guide will pick you up and drive you to the harbour. We will sail towards Ilimanaq – a small settlement south to Ilulissat. On the way, we will search for the appearance of the beautiful whales. Please be aware that we are not visiting a zoo, and therefore we cannot guarantee that the whales will “visit” our boat!
Ilimanaq is a small settlement. Some of the residents there still make their living by hunting. It is a great place to observe icebergs and experience the local culture.
