Combine the fun of Kayaking with visiting Inuit settlements
This excursion will take you to the Rodebay (Oqaatsut) – a small settlement lies north to Ilulissat. There, you will have lunch at the local restaurant, explore the small settlement, and enjoy 2 fabulous hours paddling in the sea on a double kayak.
You need to head to the departure location by yourself. Pick up your kayaking equipment and let’s board on the boat to Rodebay! Alongside the way, you can enjoy the gentle sea breeze, observe the gigantic icebergs, and spot some wildlife if you are lucky.
Once we arrived at Rodebay, the experienced tour guide will teach you the basic techniques of kayaking and present a thorough safety briefing. Then, it is our time to enjoy 2-amazing hours of kayaking in the sea.
The tour guide will take you pictures to memorize these moments. The pictures are free to be downloaded and will be sent to your email address.
After the kayaking experience, we will change back to our regular clothes and enjoy lunch here. You will also have time to visit the settlements before sailing back to Ilulissat.
