Day 1 Reykjavik: Arrival day!
Your 8-day adventure starts with the beautiful Reykjavik.
You will be responsible for searching for and purchasing the flight ticket from your home country to Reykjavik. When you land in Keflavik Airport, you can use the Flybus shuttle ticket offered by us to transfer to Hotel Reykjavik Centrum.
Have some rest. Tomorrow we will fly to Greenland and explore Greenland with Arctic Adventure!

Day 2 Head to Qaqortoq with a stop at Narsarsuaq
Today is a busy day! With the local driver, you will go to Reykjavik Domestic Airport by a private car. Then, you can board on the Air Iceland Connect flight to Narsarsuaq. After around 2 hours 20 minutes, you will land on the gateway of South Greenland – Narsarsuaq!
There will be some transfer buses at the airport. You can get on the shuttle bus with the booking ticket to harbour, where you can board the right boat and sail to Qaqortoq through Erik’s Fjord.
During this process, if you have any difficulty or problem, don’t hesitate to contact us. Even though we are not there physically to guide you through, we can be reached easily.
When you arrive at Qaqortoq, Arctic Adventure guide will be there to greet you and transfer you to Hotel Qaqortoq. Arctic Adventure guide will hold an information meeting to you at Hotel Qaqortoq to brief about the Do’s and Don’ts in Greenland.
Tonight, a 2-course dinner is served at Hotel Qaqortoq to ease the tiredness.

Day 3 Qaqortoq: City Walk & Hvalsey Church Ruin or Boat Excursion to Inland Ice Cap
Qaqortoq is regarded as the hidden garden and the most beautiful town of South Greenland. Lying between the fjord of Qaqortoq and the lake of Tasersuaq, Qaqortoq enjoys various stone carvings and sculptures.
Today, a City Tour is arranged and included in the itinerary. Arctic Adventure guide will show you the main attractions around this town and tell you some fun facts in this area. The city walk lasts around 2 hours.
After the city tour, you can join one of our boat tours to explore the historical aspect of South Greenland - Hvalsey Church Ruin. During this excursion, we will sail out to a nearby island Hvalsey and visit the Norse ruins there. Arctic Adventure guide will introduce the history, stories and interesting facts behind the ruins.
If you think 3-hour boat tour cannot satisfy you, you can opt to a more extended adventure.
Boat Excursion to Inland Ice Cap starts from the busy harbour of Qaqortoq. We will sail past the fjord and head to the impressive Twin Glacier. As approaching closer to the glacier, we can go ashore on a small rock emerging from the glacier front. In some cases, you can even touch the ice cap on this small rock! On the way back, we will pass by the bird’s cliff and a magnificent waterfall. This excursion lasts around 6 hours and is a must-do activity during your stay in South Greenland. Please note, this excursion is not guided. However, transfer and pick up are included.

Optional Activities Hvalsey Church Ruin – 3 hours, Difficulty 2 Boat Excursion to the Inland Ice Cap – 6 hours, Difficulty 3Narsarsuaq: Short hike to the ridge
Today we will say goodbye to Qaqortoq and head to Narsarsuaq for more adventures! There are two ways to go to Narsarsuaq – by helicopter or by boat – it depends on the availability. If the helicopter is available, we will fly in a low altitude over the magnificent Arctic landscape to Narsarsuaq. It’s going to be a memorable way to start a new day of adventure!
But, in the days that the helicopters are not available, we will take the boat and sail through the beautiful fjords.
After checking-in at Hotel Narsarsuaq, we can join the optional activity – Shore Hike to the Ridge. Alternatively, you can rest or explore the settlement yourself.
Short Hike to the Ridge is a 3-hour guided hiking excursion. We will walk past a flower valley and hike up to a 300-metre highland. From there, we can overlook streams, fjord and the glacier in the distance.

Optional Activities Short Hike to the Ridge – 3 hours, Difficulty 3Day 5: Narsarsuaq: City Tour & Back to Reykjavik
Today is the last you in South Greenland. Before heading to the airport, a City Tour of Narsarsuaq is arranged and included in the itinerary.
Together with Arctic Adventure guide, we will walk around in this small yet amazing settlement. You can immerse yourself in the UNESCO historical sites, ruins from centuries ago, sheep farms, green fields and icebergs floating in the fjord. You can get to know the nature and history essence of this settlement.
Later, Arctic Adventure Guide will transfer you to the airport. After 2 hours and 25 minutes, you will land in Reykjavik. The local driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel from Reykjavik Domestic Airport.

Day 6 Reykjavik: Golden Circle
Reykjavik is a metropolis with truly small-town charm to it. Today you can explore Reykjavik on your own or join one of our classic tours showcasing the highlights on Iceland.
We recommend the Golden Circle Classic tour which takes around 7 hours. We drive northeast and stop at the most famous attractions along the way - Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site of Gullfoss Waterfall; and the Great Geysir. Pick-up and drop-off service are included, please check with the hotel reception for the pick-up point near you.

Optional Activities The Golden Circle Classic – 7 hours, Difficulty 2The South Iceland Explorer Tour is another optional tour you can join. We drive south through unique farmlands, mountains, glaciers, extinct (hopefully) volcanos, and the roaring Atlantic Ocean. Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the black sand beach in Vik and Reynisdrangar are some of the attractions you will see on this trip of approximately 10 hours. Travel in a comfortable bus as you explore the South Coast on Iceland.
Tomorrow will be the departure day. Please inform the hotel reception about your flight time tonight to get your airport shuttle bus booked.

All good things must come to an end, and today is the time to say goodbye to the North Atlantic. We will provide you with a Flybus ticket which will take you from the hotel to Keflavik Airport. Please inform the hotel reception about your flight schedule the night before departure to reserve a seat on the correct Flybus departure.

For this multi-day tour, we receive booking till the 5 weeks prior to the departure time of the excursion. However, please note that limited seats are provided. Late booking may be unavailable.
Weather in Greenland can be quite unpredictable, thus, cancellations and reschedule may occur.
If the excursion is cancelled due to weather conditions, failure to reach the minimum number of participants or other unpredictable situations, Arctic Adventure ApS reserves the right to cancel the excursion. For excursions cancelled by Arctic Adventure ApS under this situation, our customers will get a 100% refund.

EQUIPMENT LIST
- Other clothing should be picked according to weather that day, you will not get much colder on the glacier as on the ground.
- Sturdy Hiking Boots – waterproof with good ankle support.
- Shirts, both short and long sleeves
- Mosquito Masks and Mosquito repellent. Mosquito season in Greenland runs from mid-June to mid-August
- Sunscream with high SPF
- Lip balm, cream and moisturizer
- Woollen/or thermal windproof hat, which covers your neck (alternatively, thermal face mask);
