Day by day & Tour Map
Day 1: Arrival Day & City Walk in Nuuk
With the departure in Reykjavik, you can fly directly to Nuuk without layover. After the short period of 3 hours and a half, you will arrive at Nuuk to open the chapter of adventures in Greenland.
The local guide will greet you at the airport. After checking in at Hotel Hans Egede, you can have some rest and join our guided city walk in Nuuk.
Sightseeing in Nuuk is the best and most convenient way to get the first grasp of the city you are visiting. The local tour guide will drive you around this city. You will visit the harbour, national museum, the church, the parliament, and the cultural centre of Nuuk. This excursion combines the natural charms and natural views of Nuuk. This excursion is a must-do when you travel to Greenland and is already included in the itinerary.
Back to the hotel, you can enjoy the tasty 2-course dinner and enjoy the high-quality of Hotel Hans Egede - a 4-star hotel in Nuuk.
Day2: Explore Nuuk on your own or Optional Kapisillit Visit
In the summertime, you will find the daytime is abundant, which enables various outdoor excursions. Today, you can freely explore this city on your preference, or join this optional excursion to visit the hidden settlements and enjoy the great view of Nuuk fjords.
Kapisillit Visit lasts around 7 hours. The local guide will transfer you from hotel to the harbour, and from there, you can board a boat to sail out in the sea. Sailing in the sea for around 2.5 hours, you will enjoy the gentle sea wind, smell the refreshing salty spray, and immerse yourself in the great views of Nuuk fjords. We will arrive at a small settlement called Kapisillit and spend around 1 hour there exploring the traditional Greenlandic village.
Continue the journey, let’s have a simple lunch on board, and head to the next hidden settlement - Qoornoq. At present, there are no residents there and it makes this place covered with special vibes - peaceful and isolated. We will spend around 30 minutes there.
Sailing back the Nuuk, we are sure you must enjoy every minute of this 7-hour excursion.
Optional Activities Kapisillit Visit - 7 hours, Difficluty 3Day3: Optional Qooqqut Nuan - Cruise and Dinner or Fjord Safari
Fjord view is the scenery that one can never get enough. The fjord enjoys its special charms every day. Immerse yourself in the picturesque view of Nuuk fjords through optional activities.
The excursion Qooqqut Nuan - Cruise and Dinner will sail you to a small settlement among the mountains through the Nuuk fjords. Before step on the land, we will have around 30 minutes to try our luck and do some sea fishing to prepare fresh fish for the dinner. You can walk around the settlement and hike in the mountains. This excursion is a great combination of fjord, mountains and isolated settlements. And it will take around 5.5 hours.
Alternatively, if you want to dedicate your full attention to the fjords, you can join our 4-hour Fjord Safari. We will sail into the sea and free our mind in the views. You may have the chance to spot some wildlife alongside the journey.

Today, you can join our optional hiking excursion, or explore this colourful city on your own.
Summer Hike to Quassussuaq starts in the backcountry of Qinngorput in Nuuk. Hiking with the experienced guide in this region, you will get closer to nature and enjoy the peaceful calm vibes there. As you hike further, you will reach the peaks of Quassussuaq - this is the highlight of this excursion, there, you will enjoy the view of fjord systems and the Sermitsiaq Mountain. The hiking excursion takes around 4 hours.
The abundant daytime enables you more time to experience and explore Greenland. Join our Kaffemik excursion to meet the locals! A journey is never complete without a closer experience of the local life. During this activity, you will be invited to a local family in Nuuk. While enjoying the coffee and cake with the locals, you will get to know better about how it is like when living in the arctic.

Today is the time to say goodbye. After lunch, the local tour guide will take you to the airport. From there, you will fly with Air Iceland Connect back to Reykjavik.
But since you will go to the airport anyway, why not join our helicopter excursions to enjoy the charms of Nuuk from a bird’s view. This excursion takes around 20 minutes and will show you an amazing overall presentation of Nuuk. It is the perfect way to say goodbye to colourful Nuuk.

For this excursion, we receive booking till the 10 weeks prior to the departure time of the excursion. However, please note that limited seats are provided. Late booking may be unavailable.
For excursions in Kangerlussuaq, transfers from and to Hotel Kangerlussuaq are included.
For excursions in Ilulissat and Nuuk, please refer to the “Included” and “Not Included” section for detailed information.
For excursions in Sisimiut, transfers starting from Hotel Sisimiut are included.
For excursions and tours in Iceland (apart from Whale Watching), pick-up and transfer from the nearest pick-up spot are included. Please check with the reception for detailed pick-up spot.

If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, failure to reach the minimum number of participants or other unpredictable situations, Arctic Adventure ApS reserves the right to cancel the tour. For tours cancelled by Arctic Adventure ApS under this situation, our customers will get a 100% refund.
- 6. If participants fail to participant the excursions based on their personal reasons (e.g. no show), Arctic Adventure ApS will not provide any refund.
