Travel to Greenland through this 4-day holiday package and enjoy various optional excursions! Boat tours to the icefjord, hiking in the mountains, experience local life and relaxing city walk and more can be freely added to your itinerary to make your travel to Greenland more colourful.

Day by day & Tour Map
Day 1: Welcome to Nuuk & City tour of Nuuk
Flying from Reykjavik to Nuuk is not a very long journey. In 3 hours and a half, you will land in this northmost capital.
Upon your arrival, the local guide will greet you at the airport and accompany you to Hotel Hans Egede - a four-star hotel that will provide you with a comfortable stay during your travel to Greenland.
After some rest, it is time to explore Nuuk! A city tour - Sightseeing in Nuuk (including museum) is the perfect choice to get to know your travel destination. The local guide will show you the Colonial Harbour, National Museum, Saviour’s church, the Parliament and more. Throughout this tour, you will have a better and deeper understanding of the nature, culture and local tradition of Nuuk.
Heading back to Hotel Hans Egede, a 2-course dinner will be prepared for you to ease the tiredness.
Day 2: Explore the city on your own or Join the Optional Kapisillit Visit
Today, you can join our optional activities to Kapisillit by boat, or you can freely explore the city based on your preference.
If you are interested in exploring the amazing fjords, enjoy feeling the gentle sea breeze and eager to experience the traditional Greenlandic lifestyle in a small settlement, this Kapisillit Visit is your choice of today!
This excursion will take around 7 hours. The local guide will pick you up from the hotel and head to the harbour. From there, we will board a modern boat to sail out to the sea. You can smell the salty and fresh sea breeze and enjoy the picturesque fjords along the journey.
After 2 hours and a half, we will arrive at Kapisillit - a small fishing and hunting settlement. Here we will spend 1 hour walking around and experience the traditional way of living in Greenland.
Continue the journey, we will have a simple lunch on board, and head to the next stop - Qoornoq. This place used to be a village but now it is abandoned with no regular residents. We will spend around 30 minutes here.
When we return to the harbour at Nuuk, the local guide to accompany you back to the hotel.
Optional Activities Kapisillit Visit - 7 hours, difficulty 3Day 3: Optional: Hiking around Quassussuaq, Cruise and Dinner, Helicopter tour
Today is another day of adventure! Nuuk is a colourful city with a harmonious combination of modern and tradition. You can explore the city with your eyes freely or join our well-selected optional activities of today.
You can join the Summer Hike around Quassussuaq to explore the nature in Nuuk. This excursion takes around 4 to 5 hours and is favoured by both locals and travellers. The local guide will take you to the new region of Nuuk - Qinngorput and start hiking from there. Through this route, you can enjoy the great nature of Nuuk and climb to the high peaks of Quassussuaq - there you can enjoy the view of the fjords in Nuuk and the amazing Sermitsiaq Mountain.
Alternatively, if you are up to explore other small settlements and fish in the sea, you can join the excursion Qooqqut Nuan - Cruise and Dinner. This excursion lasts around 5.5 hours. We will get on the boat and sail to Qooqqut - a small settlement. Before our arrival at Qooqqut, we will spend 20 minutes to catch some fish for dinner. We can walk around this settlement and hike in its amazing mountainous area.
Still up to some adventures? Opt for our optional helicopter tour to enjoy Nuuk from a different perspective! The tour guide will take you to the airport, and from there, you will fly above the city with an experienced Air Greenland Pilot. This 20-minute excursion will for sure be the highlight of your adventure! This excursion is available both during the day and at sunset.

Today is your last day in Nuuk! In the afternoon, the local tour guide will accompany you to the airport, and from there, you can fly back to Reykjavik with Air Iceland Connect.
In the morning, you can spend your time walking around the city Nuuk to shop some souvenirs, explore its corners, or take more pictures. Alternatively, you can join the optional Kaffemik activity to meet the local family.
Kaffemik is a word for any forms of social activity in Greenland. During this activity, you will be invited to a local family in Nuuk. The warm-hearted host will prepare you some coffee and a cake, and share some personal experience, family stories and the latest gossip with you. It is a perfect chance to get to know more about Greenlandic lifestyle.

For this excursion, we receive booking till the 10 weeks prior to the departure time of the excursion. However, please note that limited seats are provided. Late booking may be unavailable.
For excursions in Kangerlussuaq, transfers from and to Hotel Kangerlussuaq are included.
For excursions in Ilulissat and Nuuk, please refer to the “Included” and “Not Included” section for detailed information.
For excursions in Sisimiut, transfers starting from Hotel Sisimiut are included.
For excursions and tours in Iceland (apart from Whale Watching), pick-up and transfer from the nearest pick-up spot are included. Please check with the reception for detailed pick-up spot.

- 1. For the helicopter tours, the price of this excursion is the basic price. And it is subject to change upon your arrival based on the duration, type of helicopter, and actual participants. Changes of the price may happen even after booking and payment of this excursion.

- 3. We suggest you book the optional activities when booking this tour since limited number of seats are provided.
- 4. For pick-up and transfer services, the local tour guide will contact you through the contact information and mobile phone. Please make sure that you are reachable through phone in Greenland.

If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, failure to reach the minimum number of participants or other unpredictable situations, Arctic Adventure ApS reserves the right to cancel the tour. For tours cancelled by Arctic Adventure ApS under this situation, our customers will get a 100% refund.
- 6. If participants fail to participant the excursions based on their personal reasons (e.g. no show), Arctic Adventure ApS will not provide any refund.
