Night-time in Nuuk is not just darkness, it is filled with splendid colour – white from the moon, yellow from the houses, pink from the sunset, and maybe (if we are lucky) green from northern lights. On this helicopter tour, you will have the precious chance to experience the colourful twilight view from high above and see how the daytime says goodbye for now and night arrives. You may also spot Sermitsiaq in the distance.
We will take care of transportation from Hotel Hans Egede (or Tupilak Office) to the airport and back after the trip. Once we check-in, an experienced Air Greenland pilot will brief you about the route, the sights we should be able to see as well as safety protocols.
This excursion takes around 20 minutes.

EQUIPMENT LIST
- Other clothing should be picked according to weather that day, you will not get much colder on the glacier as on the ground.
- Sturdy Hiking Boots – waterproof with good ankle support.
- Woollen/or thermal windproof hat, which covers your neck (alternatively, thermal face mask);
- Woollen/or thermal gloves (ideal as a base layer under waterproof gloves or mittens);
- Woollen/or thermal socks
- Warm, insulated winter jacket and snow trousers or salopettes;
- Woollen long sleeved shirts/or thermal shirts
- Thick sweater and woollen pullovers;
- Heat pads for hands and feet (especially for dog sled tours).
